41000Fellesforbundet is a product of a merger between five different unions in 1988 (metal, construction, pulp and paper, textiles and clothing and forestry and agriculture), with the graphical workers union in 2006 and with the hotel and restaurant workers union in 2007.
The total number of members in Fellesforbundet is 112 000, out of which 46 700 are in the metalworking industry.
