Precarious work = Precarious lives
How women’s precarious employment impacts on families and communities
18 March 2009
On the occasion of International Women’s Day 2009 the International Metalworkers Federation (IMF) and the European Metalworkers Federation (EMF) are organising this joint event:
In the context of the IMF and EMF campaigns on precarious work, the event will provide an opportunity to consider the impact that women’s overrepresentation in precarious employment has on their families and communities.
This event will contribute towards an increased awareness of the impacts of women’s precarious work among metal unions. It will also help to ensure that there is a strong focus on these issues in the EMF and IMF campaigns as well as those of affiliated unions.
