Meeting on the future work of the South Easter European Region
Joint meeting in Zagreb late March involving EMF EMCEF ETUF:TCL on future work and approach regarding SEER.
Baltic States
Since May 2004 Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania are full members of the European Union. Consequences of this process – accelerating economic and political integration - mean also immense challenges for trade unions.
Despite many efforts trade unions in the Baltic States remain in a very difficult situation. Unionisation rates have fallen to about 15%, there are few collective agreements and union structures remain weak.
