Dear Colleagues,

Please find a call for solidarity and sympathy from the Turkish colleagues from DISK.
They would like to draw the public’s attention to the catastrophic events that have occurred in the Turkish shipyards over the past months and years.
Events of this kind should trigger massive campaigns for better health and safety conditions in the shipbuilding industry.
I strongly support their action and kindly invite you to send solidarity messages to the colleagues from DISK on 27th February 2008, the day they will organise a 24-hour strike in the Tuzla shipyards.
