Opel/Vauxhall and Saab European Action Day on 26 February

We therefore call for:

• European government loan guarantees / stakes
• A search for new partners, investors and shareholders
• The introduction of a new corporate organization and management structure

The solution to the crisis of these European carmakers is strong European co-ordination by all stakeholders.

• Belgium:

Antwerp: Short work, rally in the city of Antwerp

• Germany:

Rüsselsheim: Mass meeting in front of the Opel headquarters with IGM President Berthold Huber and German Vice-Chancellor and Foreign minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier, stop of production for at least 1 hour
Bochum: Short work, no mass meeting, no rally in Bochum, via bus people will participate in Rüsselsheim rally.
Kaiserslautern: Rally in the city of Kaiserslautern in the city
Eisenach: Rally in the city of Eisenach including suppliers

• UK:

Ellesmere Port: Mass meetings, stop of production for 1 hour
Luton: Information meetings, stop of production for 1 our

• Sweden:

Trollhättan: short work, a manifestation with torchlight procession evening in the town with local politics and people from Stockholm and habitants
from our city, many saabworkers, we expect big support and lot of people doing this

• Poland:

Gliwice: Short work, joint press conference with Tychy, meetings with members of European Parliament
Tychy: joint press conference and meeting with members of European Parliament

• Austria:

Aspern: Information meetings with stop of production for 1 hour

• Hungary:

Szentgotthard: Information meeting with stop of production for 1 hour

• France:

Strasbourg: Short work, media contacts by CGT and CTFD

• Spain:

Saragossa: rally in the city of Saragossa, stop of production for 1 hour
