MCA-UGT represents workers in the following sectors all over Spain: metal, construction, building materials, wood and related activities. We have 150.000 members, out of which 100.000 are in the metal sector.

MCA-UGT groups employees, members of cooperatives, self-employees occupied within our industrial sector activities; unemployed workers and pre-retired and retired workers.

The metal sector is composed by metal industry branches: iron and steel industry, automotive and bike sectors; optic manufacture, electrical and mechanical equipment, white and brown goods, lifts, jewelry, toys, ITC, automotive components, electronic devices, small craftwork shops and other metal industries.

Our objectives:

  • To represent and gather workers to defend their intersts, democratic principles and imropove working and living conditions.
  • To practice solidarity at national and international levels.
  • To encourage and promote members' training.
  • To strengthen international trade union movement.
