Joint EMF and TAIEX project: Strengthening social dialogue in the metal industry
This series of sub-regional seminars on social dialogue for EMF affiliates in South-Eastern Europe includes three events taking place in Belgrade, Sarajevo and Skopje. The project is carried out in co-operation and with financial support from the TAIEX (Technical Assistance and Information Exchange Instrument of the Institution Building unit of the European Commission Directorate-General Enlargement).
The aim of the seminars is to promote social dialogue in South-Eastern Europe by:
• Raising awareness of the metalworkers’ trade unions in the region concerning the European social dialogue in order to enable their participation;
• Strengthening social dialogue institutions at national level as a precondition for well-functioning systems of autonomous collective bargaining at national level and for successful participation in European social dialogue;
• Overall strengthening of the social dialogue in the European metal sector by promoting it as an integral and indispensable part of the European social model.
