Joint EMF and TAIEX project: Strengthening social dialogue in the metal industry

This series of sub-regional seminars on social dialogue for EMF affiliates in South-Eastern Europe includes three events taking place in Belgrade, Sarajevo and Skopje. The project is carried out in co-operation and with financial support from the TAIEX (Technical Assistance and Information Exchange Instrument of the Institution Building unit of the European Commission Directorate-General Enlargement).

EMF Conference in the framework of the South-Eastern European Forum (SEEF)

EU integration and challenges for trade unions: For sustainable employment in the metal industry in South-Eastern Europe

Budapest, 24th–26th October 2007

The conference aims to provide the possibility of exchanging information and experiences on the enlargement process between trade unions in the New Member States and in the Acceding, Candidate and Potential Candidate Countries. It will also give the opportunity to launch new work priorities for the next Congress period: to analyse the current situation and challenges as well as to provide the basis for an intensive debate on metalworkers’ strategies with regard to European integration.

The EMF and DGB Bildungswerk with the financial support of the European Commission launched recently a joint project for the EMF affiliates in the South-Eastern Europe.
