Restructuring plan announced at Airbus, European Works Council meets
Following a review of the Airbus A380 programme Airbus’ parent company EADS has confirmed on Tuesday, 3rd October 2006, further delays in the delivery of A380 aircrafts.
The company has furthermore announced a far-reaching restructuring programme including a cost reduction programme called Power8. In response to the announcements, the European Works Council of EADS is convening an extraordinary meeting on 5th October 2006 in Ottobrunn, Germany where the European workers representatives will discuss with EADS management the industrial and social consequences of the announced restructuring. The EMF will inform about further developments and trade union responses.

On Monday 5 March the European Works Council of EADS is holding an extraordinary meeting with Airbus management with the purpose to receive full information.
