Workers at all GM sites protest today against GM Europe

The European Metalworkers’ Federation (EMF) and the European Employee Forum (EEF) arrange a joint European Action Day today 3 May for all GME plants in Europe.

The EMF General Secretary Peter Scherrer is present at the GM plant in Antwerp today to give his support to the workers there who are threatened by unemployment when GM cuts its workforce across Europe.

The actions start between 11 and 12 this morning at plants across Europe.

The EMF is the representative body defending the interests of workers in the European metal industry. The EMF has a mandate for the external representation and coordination of the metalworkers' unions and a mandate to engage in bargaining at European level.
